Frequently Asked Questions

You don't have to be in a crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people begin therapy because they feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, anxious, burned out, or simply in need of support as they navigate life's challenges. Others seek therapy to work through relationship difficulties, process trauma, manage stress, improve self-esteem, or navigate major life transitions.
Therapy can be a powerful tool to help you better understand yourself, strengthen relationships, develop healthy coping skills, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, burnout, trauma, or simply feeling like something isn't working the way it used to, you don't have to figure it out alone.
If you've been wondering whether therapy might help, that curiosity is often a sign that it's worth exploring. You deserve support, and you don't need to wait until things get worse before reaching out.

You're not alone in this journey. Many of our clients are starting therapy for the very first time, and it's completely natural to feel nervous, uncertain, or have questions about what to expect.
Remember, it's okay to have questions and to not have everything figured out right now. Your therapist will walk alongside you, guiding you at a pace that feels safe and comfortable. There is no "right" way to do therapy, and you don't need to know exactly what to say or where to begin before your first session.
Our goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered as you work toward meaningful growth and healing.

Yes. Many of the clients we work with begin therapy feeling emotionally drained, overwhelmed by endless responsibilities, trapped in cycles of overthinking, struggling with anxiety, or experiencing burnout from trying to balance work, relationships, and their own needs.
Therapy can help you better understand the sources of stress and overwhelm in your life, develop healthier boundaries, build effective coping skills, and reconnect with your values and sense of well-being. Together, we'll work to create sustainable changes that support greater balance, resilience, and fulfillment.
You don't have to carry the weight of stress, burnout, or emotional exhaustion alone. You deserve support, understanding, and a space where you can heal, grow, and thrive.

Yes. We provide therapy for ADHD and support neurodivergent adults navigating challenges such as executive functioning difficulties, procrastination, overwhelm, emotional regulation, burnout, self-esteem concerns, masking, and relationship stress.
Our approach is neurodiversity-affirming and strengths-based. Rather than focusing on "fixing" who you are, we work together to better understand your experiences, identify what works for your unique brain, and develop practical strategies that support your goals and well-being.
Many of our clients find that therapy helps them build self-compassion, reduce shame, and create systems that feel sustainable and authentic.
-
Yes. We offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Brainspotting for individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and distressing life experiences that continue to impact their daily lives.
Both EMDR and Brainspotting are trauma-focused, evidence-based approaches that help the brain process difficult memories and experiences in a way that reduces their emotional intensity and influence on the present. Many people find that experiences which once felt overwhelming begin to feel more manageable and less disruptive over time.
If you're curious whether EMDR, Brainspotting, or another trauma-focused approach may be a good fit for your goals, we'd be happy to discuss your options during a consultation or intake session.
-
Yes. We provide virtual couples counseling for couples throughout Florida.
Whether you're experiencing communication challenges, recurring conflict, trust concerns, life transitions, or simply feeling disconnected from one another, couples therapy can provide a supportive space to strengthen understanding, improve communication, and rebuild connection.
Our goal is not to determine who is right or wrong, but to help both partners feel heard, understood, and equipped with tools to create a healthier, more fulfilling relationship.

We believe therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. Every person brings unique experiences, strengths, and goals into therapy, and we strive to meet you where you are.
Our therapists draw from evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
Together, we'll create an approach that feels supportive, collaborative, and aligned with the changes you're hoping to make.
-
Yes. Research consistently shows that online therapy can be just as effective as in-person therapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, ADHD, relationship challenges, and life transitions.
Many clients appreciate the flexibility and convenience of virtual therapy, allowing them to access support from the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Online therapy can also make it easier to maintain consistency, which is an important part of the therapeutic process.
Most importantly, effective therapy is built on the relationship between you and your therapist and meaningful connection can absolutely happen through telehealth.
At this time, we primarily offer virtual therapy services throughout Florida. We are also excited to share that we plan to offer in-person therapy sessions in Orlando, Florida in the future. If you're interested in in-person services, feel free to reach out and we'll be happy to provide updates as they become available.

We currently accept Aetna, Carelon, Cigna, and Optum insurance plans. Insurance participation varies by therapist, so we encourage you to contact our office for the most up-to-date information regarding accepted plans and therapist availability.
If your therapist is not in-network with your insurance plan, we are able to provide a monthly superbill that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. We are happy to answer questions and help you understand your options before getting started.
